Caught in Tradition

Cessationists doubting, faith in a drought,
Unbelief like zombies, wandering about,
Tradition’s chain, choking the soul’s fire,
Hatred for Jesus, makes the darkness higher.

Gospel truth sharper, cutting through lies,
Cessationists blind, can’t see the skies,
Miracles still happen, right before eyes,
Scripture’s alive, eternity never dies.

Caught in tradition, sinking like quicksand,
Hating on the Savior, don’t understand,
Judgment day coming, can’t hide or run,
Punishment is swift, when the final trumpets rung.

Heavenly melodies, cessationists ignore,
Spiritual gifts now, but they lock the door,
Heart’s hardened, stone-cold core,
Missing the blessings, seeking more.

Lost in old ways, ghosts of the past,
Faith in Jesus, they let it pass,
Gospel’s brightness, darkness so vast,
Their time is nearing, shadows won’t last.

Miracles beckon, they’re deaf to the call,
Jesus reaching out, they build a wall,
Eternal love, rising strong and tall,
Judgment’s stirring, hear the trumpet’s brawl.
